Interview with Berry Wells:
1. Choose ONE word to describe a gogo dancer. Entertainers
2. How old where you when you got your first gig as a gogo dancer? I was 19
3. When did you know you wanted to become a gogo dancer? I went to my first club ever when I turned 18 & seen gogos Mary Cherry & Sexy Peaches on the boxes and they looked like if they were on top of the world & they had fun entertaining the crowd! I wanted to feel like that, I've always been in cheer, drill, dance etc. Ive always loved to entertain crowds.
4. What's your worst experience as a gogo? How people try to take advantage of you because they think you dont know the game yet... Wrong! I know whats right and wrong & what is proffessional & unprofessional!
5. What's your best experience as a gogo? Whenever I get praised or complimented for what I do. I love to dance and escape everything thats going on in my life, I release stress when I dance & I'm always sober when I do it.
6. Where do you see yourself 5 years from now? To be honest I'm not sure. I dont make plans because when I do, they don't fall through, so I'll just be taking life as it comes.
7. What advice would you give girls that want to become gogo dancers? Don't let people take advantage of you, carry yourself right don't let these promoters think they can do what they want with you, never dance for free!, don't become a drunk slob on stage, a groupie with performers, just network right & be urself.
